The problem we saw in 2020
In 2020, Dubai's property market was on the cusp of a historic expansion. Post-pandemic migration, Golden Visa reforms, and the UAE's 0% tax regime were converging. But the service infrastructure hadn't kept up.
A typical buyer journey at that time required separately engaging:
- A property broker (usually commission-first, volume-focused)
- A visa consultant for Golden Visa + family visas
- A conveyancer for DLD transfer
- A UAE banker for mortgage or wealth-management setup
- A PRO agent for any ongoing government liaison
- A property management firm for post-handover rental
- A bookkeeper if the property was held via company structure
Seven different vendors. Seven different KYCs. Seven different service philosophies. For foreign buyers — especially CIS and Russian-speaking investors — this fragmentation was especially painful because each vendor operated primarily in English with cultural assumptions foreign to the client.
We saw two specific structural gaps no one was filling:
1. End-to-end integration. No Dubai firm was serving the full stack from discovery to ongoing management.
2. CIS-native service. The Russian-speaking investor community was growing rapidly but had no institutional option — only individual brokers or informal Telegram channels.
Idigov was founded to serve both.
About the founder — Akhmed Idigov
Akhmed Idigov founded Idigov Group in 2020 after several years working in Dubai real estate. He combines three credentials that are rare in any one person:
RERA-certified instructor — Akhmed teaches the official Dubai RERA curriculum to new broker candidates. This means he is one of the people who officially defines what it means to be a qualified Dubai real-estate professional. The instructor credential is a small group — fewer than 100 individuals in Dubai hold it.
Multilingual operator — Native Russian speaker. Fluent in English. Functional in Arabic. Deep familiarity with CIS-buyer cultural context (tax residency mechanics, source-of-funds compliance, family-decision dynamics, banking relationships).
Active broker — Unlike many 'academy' or 'training-only' operators, Akhmed remains personally involved in deal-making. The founder who closes deals every month understands market reality in a way pure academics don't.

Our roadmap through 2027:

2. Academy institutional partnerships. We're in discussions with UAE universities and professional bodies to formalize broker certification curricula. The goal: make Idigov Academy a recognized pre-requisite for high-tier Dubai brokerage roles.
3. Institutional investment advisory. Expanding from individual HNW advisory into family-office and institutional portfolio mandates. Our AED 1B+ AUM is a starting point, not a destination.
4. Proprietary market data platform. Our 850+ transactions and live Supabase inventory give us insights no portal has. We're investing in analytical infrastructure that surfaces these insights to clients.
5. Expanded geographic reach. Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and RAK coverage for UAE-portfolio clients who want geographic diversification within the UAE.
What we won't do: dilute the service quality by scaling transaction volume faster than advisory capacity. The moment we start feeling like a portal or a commission-chasing brokerage, we've lost what makes Idigov worth choosing.
